.State shipbuilder CSSC said on its website that the TSW subsidiary Hong Kong Southwest Maritime Company had contracted two 83,000-cbm vessels at Jiangnan Shipyard.

No delivery date was given.

"With the signing of this contract, Jiangnan Shipyard has strengthened its position as a leader on ship restructuring and development in the domestic market, and further extends its influence on an international level," the statement said.

Last month, TradeWinds reported that Guangzhou-based TSW teamed up with Chinese LPG importer and distributor Jovo Group to buy the 78,000-cbm Reference Point (built 1991).

The price of the ship has not been disclosed but online platform VesselsValue.com estimates it to be worth $22.3m.
