On Jan. 30th, 170,000M³ LNG ship MV PAPUA that China Shipping built as a joint venture was put into operation officially. It is a milestone for the company’s LNG shipping development, and it marks that China Shipping’s clean energy transportation has stepped into the substantive operation phase. After its delivery, the ship will sail between Papua New Guinea and Chinese ports including Qingdao that will guarantee the concrete energy provision to Shandong area.
MV PAPUA is the first of four LNG ships that China Shipping and its cooperative partners ordered form Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard. It is also the biggest LNG ship made in China so far. The other three ships will be delivered successively within the next two years.
